The e-Shram portal of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, which is meant to register workers in the unorganised sector and help them access social security benefits, is being integrated with the One Nation One Ration Card scheme. Ministry of Labour & Employment has developed eSHRAM portal for creating a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which is seeded with Aadhaar. It will have details of name, occupation, address, occupation type, educational qualification, skill types and family details etc. for optimum realization of their employability and extend the benefits of the social security schemes to them. It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc. E-shram system tries to create a social registry of unorganized sector workers
