Readiness of subordinates = ability (knowledge, experience, skill) and willingness (motivation, commitment) to accomplish a specific task. The leadership style is defined on two parameters – task behaviour (extent to which the leader spells out the duties and responsibilities of a subordinate) and relationship behaviour (Extent to which the leader listens to the followers, and provides encouragement to them).
