The Speaker of Lok Sabha launched the Suposhit Maa Abhiyan- a scheme to ensure nutritional support to pregnant women in Kota (the Speaker’s constituency). Purpose of the Scheme: The scheme is in line with achieving ‘Malnutrition-free India’ by 2022. The Suposhit Maa Abhiyan is to provide nutritional support to pregnant women and girls in Kota of Rajasthan. This would contribute to the health of the child also. Beneficiaries of the Scheme: The scheme will provide nutritional support to pregnant women and adolescent girls in the Lok Sabha Speaker’s constituency. 1,000 pregnant women will be covered by the scheme. Only one pregnant women from a family will be covered by the scheme. It will also ensure the child’s heath. Â
