To ensure holistic growth of horticulture the Horticulture Cluster  Development Programme (CDP) was launched. Objectives are to Address the concerns of the horticulture value chain from pre-production, production, post-harvest management & value addition to logistics, marketing & branding, in an integrated manner for enhancing competitiveness in the domestic & export market. The Ministry of Agriculture has identified a total of 53 Horticulture clustersto be developed under the CDP. But the pilot phase will start with 12 clusters in 11 states.
