NEP states National Institute for Pali, Persian and Prakrit along with Indian Institute of Translation and Interpretation to be set up. Further, all students in all schools, public or private, will have the option of learning at least two years of a classical language of India and its associated literature, through experiential and innovative approaches, including the integration of technology, in Grades 6-12, with the option to continue from the middle stage through the secondary stage and beyond. Strong departments and programmes in Indian languages, comparative literature, creative writing, arts, music, philosophy, etc. will be launched and developed across the country, and degrees including 4- year B.Ed. dual degrees will be developed in these subjects Outstanding local artists and craftspersons will be hired as guest faculty to promote local music, art, languages, and handicraft Please note: There are currently 22 languages under schedule VIII of the Indian constitution
