    In each of the following questions, a question is followed by two or three statement. Read all the statements and find that which statements are required to answer the question and answer accordingly.

    What is the area of the hall? I: Total cost

    (Labour + Material) of flooring the hall is Rs. 29,000 II: Labour cost of flooring the hall is Rs. 6,000. III: Material cost of flooring per sq. metre is Rs. 250.

    Solution

    From statements I, II and III Let the area of the hall be x m2. Then, total material cost = Rs. 250x Labour cost = Rs. 6000 Therefore, Total cost = 250x + 6,000 = 29,000 From this we get the value of x. Hence, all the three statements are required.
