This drive offers 8 SIDBI Legal vacancies for law graduates to strengthen SIDBI’s legal team across drafting, litigation, and compliance roles.
Interested candidates can apply online at www.sidbi.in from 14 July to 11 August 2025 by submitting their application form and fee.
The SIDBI Legal exam process starts with Phase I objective test on 6 September 2025, followed by Phase II descriptive and objective papers on 4 October 2025.
Shortlisted candidates will face a psychometric assessment and personal interview in November 2025 to finalise their selection.
Selected Manager Grade B Legal officers will draw a pay scale of ₹55,200–99,750 plus allowances under the New Pension Scheme and other benefits.

In Phase II, Paper I focuses on English Language skills. You will write essays, précis, and comprehension passages, and demonstrate business or office correspondence abilities within a fixed time.
Paper II in Phase II covers General Knowledge of Law.

SIDBI Legal Eligibility Criteria
The SIDBI Legal eligibility criteria require candidates to be between 25 and 33 years of age as on 14 July 2025, with birth dates from 15 July 1992 to 14 July 2000.
Applicants must hold an LLB degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) and be enrolled with a State Bar Council. An LLM or Company Secretary qualification and basic computer proficiency are desirable.
Candidates need a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Law Officer in institutions such as RBI, SEBI, AIFIs, Scheduled Commercial Banks, CPSEs, or NBFCs.

SIDBI Legal Age Relaxations
SIDBI Legal allows extra years in the upper age limit for reserved categories.
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates get 5 more years, and Other Backward Classes candidates get 3 more years.
- Persons with Benchmark Disability receive 10 years; PwBD OBC get 13; PwBD SC/ST get 15.
- Ex-servicemen with at least five years of service get an extra 5 years.
- Persons affected by the 1984 riots also get 5 more years in the age limit.
Candidates claiming any age relaxation must bring original and valid certificates (caste, disability, service, or riot relief) at the interview.
Only these relaxations apply for SIDBI Legal; no other upper-age relaxations are permitted.

SIDBI Legal Application Fees
Candidates applying under the General, OBC, or EWS categories must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹925 plus intimation charges of ₹175, totalling ₹1,100.
SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempt from the application fee but must pay ₹175 as intimation charges.
Current SIDBI staff candidates need not pay any application fee or intimation charges.
All payments must be made online via credit/debit cards, internet banking, IMPS, or mobile wallets before the closing date.

SIDBI Legal Salary
The Manager Grade B (Legal) post carries a basic pay scale of ₹55,200 – 99,750, with scheduled increments over 16 years and a minimum gross emolument of ₹1,15,000 per month (approx.).
Gross emoluments include Dearness Allowance, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, and other benefits under the New Pension Scheme (NPS).
The total cost to company (CTC) for Grade B officers ranges from ₹23.5 lakh to ₹26 lakh per annum, varying by place of posting and individual allowances.

SIDBI Legal Probation Period
All selected Manager Grade B (Legal) officers will initially serve a probation period of two years from the date of joining.
SIDBI may, at its discretion, extend this probation by up to two additional years, making the total probationary period a maximum of four years.
This extension allows SIDBI to exercise flexibility in confirmation based on its requirements and the officer’s adaptation to the role.
During the probation period, officers are liable to be posted or transferred to various SIDBI offices, verticals, associates, or subsidiaries as needed.
Such postings and transfers will follow the terms and conditions determined by SIDBI, which may include changes in location or job functions.
Officers remain under probation until the completion of the sanctioned period, after which their status is regularised as per SIDBI’s service rules.

The SIDBI Legal admit card (call letter) will be issued online and you will receive intimation by email and SMS when it is available.
You must download the admit card from SIDBI’s website (www.sidbi.in) within the specified window. No hard-copy call letters will be sent by post.
Print your call letter and carry it with you to the examination centre, along with your original photo identity proof (e.g., PAN card, passport, driving licence, voter ID, Aadhar) and a photocopy of the same.
Without these documents, you will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
Check the exam centre, date, reporting time, and other instructions printed on the admit card carefully.
Latecomers—those arriving after the reporting time—will not be permitted to enter, and you cannot request a change of centre or session once your call letter is issued.
SIDBI Legal How to Apply
To apply for the SIDBI Legal exam, visit SIDBI’s official website and click on the Apply Online option under the Careers section. This will open a new screen for registration and application.
Choose the tab Click here for New Registration and enter your name, contact details, and a valid email ID. On successful registration, a provisional registration number and password will be displayed on the screen and sent to you by email and SMS.
Log in using your registration number and password to fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and work experience.
Upload a recent photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration as per the given guidelines.
After completing the form, use the Preview tab to verify all details, then click Complete Registration.
Proceed to the Payment tab to pay the application fee online using debit/credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, or mobile wallets, and then click Submit.
Upon successful payment, download and print the e-receipt and the completed application form for your records.
Do not send any hard copy to SIDBI and keep your registration number and password safe for future correspondence and admit card download.
SIDBI Legal Pre Exam Training
As per Government of India guidelines, SIDBI Legal offers Pre-Recruitment Training (PRT) for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates who wish to attend. This training is conducted online to help these candidates prepare for the exam.
Candidates who want to avail of PRT must indicate their willingness while filling in the online application form. Eligibility for training is based on meeting the standard SIDBI Legal criteria.
Please note that attending the PRT does not guarantee a call to the exam or selection in SIDBI’s service. Completion of training alone does not confer any right to be selected.
