      National Water Development Agency Eligibility Criteria

       NWDA 2023

      NWDA has prescribed certain eligibility criteria for the 6 posts. It has been specified by the National Water Development Agency (NWDA) in its official notification 2023. It is essential to know accurate information regarding the eligibility criteria so that you do not have to face any difficulty while filling the NWDA application form. We have provided the detailed eligibility criteria for Junior Engineer (Civil), UDC, LDC, Draftsman, Junior Account Officer, and Stenographer.

      Educational Criteria

      The National Water Development Agency has prescribed different educational qualifications for different posts. The posts mentioned in the notification are Junior Engineer (Civil), UDC, LDC, Draftsman, Junior Account Officer, and Stenographer. Detailed educational qualification for the National Water Development Agency has been provided in the table below.

      PostsAcademic Qualification

      Lower Division Clerk

      i) 12th Class passed from a recognized Board

      ii) A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer

      Knowledge of Computer operating systems, MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint &Internet.

      Upper Division Clerk

      Degree of a recognized University. Knowledge of Computer operating systems, MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint &Internet

      Junior Engineer

      Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognised University or equivalent

      Junior Accounts Officer

      i) Degree in Commerce from a recognized University/Institute.

      ii) Three-year experience in Cash and Accounts in a Government Office/PSU/ Autonomous Body/ Statutory Body

      iii) Candidates having CA/ICWAI/Company Secretary will be preferred

      Stenographer

      12th Class passed from a recognized Board/University. Skill (Shorthand) Test (on Computer) at the speed of 80 wpm

      Draftsman Grade III

      ITI Certificate or Diploma in Draftsman ship (Civil) from a recognized Institution /University

      Age Criteria

      Age Relaxation

      (i) 5 years for Jr. Engineer, Hindi Translator and Jr. Accounts Officer. (ii) Upto 40 years for UDC, Stenographer Gr-II and LDC (Minimum 3 years service has been rendered in Government Department/Autonomous Bodies)

      Nwda Eligibility Criteria FAQs

      To apply for the post of Junior Accounts Officer, a candidate must be between the age of 21 to 30 years. For the other posts, the candidates must be between the age of 18 to 27 years. However, the upper age limit will be relaxed in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories.
