NBEMS Eligibility Criteria

You need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria prescribed by NBEMS in order to be eligible for the Junior Assistant/ Senior Assistant/ Junior Accountant posts. If you fail to follow the required eligibility criteria, your application will be cancelled. So, it is advised to go through the eligibility criteria carefully before you proceed to apply for the NBEMS exam. The date determining eligibility criteria for the NBEMS exam is 14 August 2021.

Note - No person who is not good mentally and is bodily healthy and free from any physical defect will be recruited for NBEMS Junior Assistant/ Senior Assistant/ Junior Accountant posts . Also you need to produce a medical certificate of physical fitness before your final appointment.

Educational Criteria

You should possess the required qualification before you go ahead with the online application process of the NBEMS recruitment exam. Since the NBEMS notification is for various posts like Junior Assistant/ Senior Assistant/ Junior Accountant so the educational qualification differs. Further details regarding the educational qualification of NBEMS exam is given below.

  • Degree from recognized University/Board.
  • To qualify Examination as may be prescribed by NBE
Junior Assistant ESSENTIAL
  • Passed Senior Secondary Examination from a recognized Board/University recognized by Central/State Govt./UT Administration/Education Authority.
  • Proficiency in the use of Computers and Basic Software packages such as Windows/Network Operating System/LAN Architecture.
  • To qualify Examination may be prescribed by NBE.
Junior Accountant ESSENTIAL
  • Bachelor's Degree with Maths or Statics or a Degree in Commerce from a recognized University.
  • To qualify Examination may be prescribed by NBE.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION
  • Three Years’ experience in dealing with Accounts in some Govt. institutions with knowledge of computer-based accounting

Age Limit

There are various eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled to avoid the cancellation of your candidature. You must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not be more than 27 years as on the closing date of submission of the NBEMS exam online application form. Age Relaxation

As per government norms NBEMS also provides a relaxation in the upper age limit if you belong to reserved categories. The relaxation may vary according to the reserved category you belong to. You can refer to the following table below for complete details of NBEMS age relaxation.

There is no such limitation as mentioned in the notification. A candidate will be eligible until he/she surpasses the maximum age limit.
There will not be any such fitness test, but the candidates will have to produce a medical certificate proving their stable mental & physical health before joining.
No. Candidates will have the option to choose from English and Hindi language only in Stage I.
There will be two stages in the NBEMS selection process. The first stage will consist of a computer based test (CBT) and the second stage will have a computer knowledge / skill based test.
Yes. All those candidates who are already employees of Central/State Government/ Public Sector Undertakings, are eligible to apply for NBEMS recruitment. In order to participate in the recruitment process, such candidates need to apply through a proper procedure and shall have to produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) whenever asked to do so.
