Kendriya Vidyalaya Exam Pattern 2024

Before you begin your KVS exam 2022 exam preparation, it is imperative to know and understand the KVS exam pattern. This will help you in planning your studies properly. Kendriya Vidyalaya exam will be conducted in two phases- 

  • Written Examination 
  • Professional Proficiency Test (Demo Teaching + Interview)

Written Examination Pattern

The KVS Written Examination will be conducted online with objective questions, and consists of four parts. The first part consists of Proficiency in Languages, part two consists of General Awareness, Reasoning and Proficiency in Computers, part three deals with Perspectives on Education and Leadership, and part four will consist of Subject-specific questions. Professional Proficiency Test 

After qualifying the KVS Written Examination, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the second and final phase of the KVS recruitment 2022 i.e. Professional Proficiency Test (Demo Teaching + Interview). The Professional Proficiency Test will carry a total of 60 marks. 

Furthermore, the weightage of the Written Examination and the Professional Proficiency Test will be 70:30. The final selection will be made as per the marks obtained in the Written Examination and the Professional Proficiency Test

Marking Scheme

The KVS exam 2022 does not carry any negative marking for wrong answers. Furthermore, you will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. For more details on the KVS marking scheme 2022, please refer to the table below.

Exam Language

The language of questions will be bilingual i.e. both Hindi and English. You can choose in which format you want the question to appear. Except for the General Hindi/English section, the other sections will be bilingual.
