The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) has released a notification announcing vacancies for the posts of Administrative Officer (AO) and Finance & Accounts Officer (F&AO) at ICAR Research Institutes. This is an excellent opportunity for the eligible candidates. You can apply for one or both of the posts. To save time and last minute hassles, it will be better that all the interested candidates start applying right away.
The ICAR CBT exam 2024 Tier 1 result for AO, Finance & Accounts Officer post is out.
The notification contains complete details related to the exam and once you acquaint yourself with all the information and make sure that you are eligible for the post/s, you can go on with your application. The online application process started from July 23, 2021 and ended on till Aug 23, 2021. The exam was earlier set to be conducted in October but due to certain reasons it was held on May 10, 2022 for some centres.
Vacancy
The ICAR recruitment can be considered as one of the most important ones. All those who are interested in applying for any of the posts, can do so right away. ICAR has announced a total of 65 vacancies for the posts of Administrative Officer (AO) and Finance & Accounts Officer (F&AO). Having complete information regarding the exam is utmost important, as it helps in forming a basic idea of the level of the exam. How To Apply
The application window for ICAR AO, F&AO posts is open from July 23, 2021 to Aug 23, 2021. It is advised to all the candidates that they start filling up the application as early as possible. To ensure successful completion of the registration / application process, you should be well aware of all the steps as follows:
- A candidate needs to apply online by visiting the official website of ASRB: http:/www.asrb.org.in.
- Candidates can apply to both the posts also, but in that case they need to mention their order of preference in the application.
- You need to enter a valid email address for all further communication.
- You need to first register on the official website and once you are registered successfully, you need to keep these details safe for future login.
- Once you have registered, you have to start filling up all your details in the online application form. Be careful to enter all correct information.
- You need to further upload :
- A scanned photograph with a maximum size of 150 KB and in .jpg format.
- A scanned copy of your signature taken in black or blue ink only on a white paper. The maximum size can be 80 KB and in .jpg format.
- A scanned copy of your left thumb impression, taken only in blue ink on a white paper of a maximum size of 80 KB and in .jpg format.
- A message of successful uploading of all these documents will be displayed on the screen.
- You can now review your application once to avoid any errors.
- Candidates can edit their form at many stages. After the final submission, no changes will be permissible.
- The final step will be to pay the registration / application fee. The fee will have to be paid online through the Debit/Credit/UPI method.
- If your online payment is complete, a message will be flashed on the screen. If it doesn’t appear, it implies that you need to go through the same process again.
- Click on the submit button.
Application Fee
After filling up all the details in the ICAR application form, the most important step remains. Until you pay the online application fee, the registration process will remain incomplete. The fee will be paid through online mode and can be paid by Debit Card/ Credit Card/ NetBanking/ UPI.

All female candidates and those belonging to the SC/ST or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are exempted from the examination fee. They only need to pay the registration fee.
Admit Card
The ICAR exam for AO, F&AO posts will be conducted in three tiers or phases. The first tier will be an online objective test which will be conducted on October 10, 2021. The admit cards for the same will be released on the official website of ICAR a few days before the examination. The candidates need to download the admit cards from the website. The call letters will not be sent via post to any candidate.
