FSSAI Official Notification 2022 has been released by FSSAI on September 30, 2021 for a number of posts. Two such posts are Technical Officer and Central Food Safety Officer (CFSO). You are required to apply only ONLINE through the website. The FSSAI application process 2022 will take place from October 13, 2021 to November 12, 2021. To know more about the exam, please refer to the details below. The FSSAI Central Food Safety Officer (CFSO) and Technical Officer exams are on March 30 and 31, 2022, respectively.
Admit Card for FSSAI CBT Stage - 2 for the posts of Central Food Safety Officer (CFSO) and Technical Officer that is scheduled to take place on September 23 and October 1, 2022, has been announced.

Vacancies
For the post of Technical Officer and Central Food Safety Officer (CFSO), a total of 162 FSSAI vacancies will be filled through FSSAI recruitment. Please note that candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in the 'Creamy Layer' are not entitled to get OBC reservation. If they want to apply for the post, they should indicate their category as 'General (GEN)’. Also, 10% of vacancies are reserved for EWS candidates as per Government of India guidelines. How to Apply
Before applying for the posts, keep a working email address for registration of the application and mobile number with you. You should also have a scanned Photograph and Signature with you (Dimensions are given below). Please note that an application can be modified multiple times and only the latest changes will be stored. It is advised to fill the FSSAI Application form as soon as possible to avoid any technical difficulties on the last day. Here are a few steps to follow while filling the application form.
- Sign-up by clicking on the link or by visiting the official website of FSSAI
- Provide Post Applied Name, Name, Mobile No. and Email ID
- You will receive Registration ID & Password on their registered ID/ mobile number
- Login again and select the the category and fill up the Personal Details, Qualification Details,
- You will now be asked to upload your scanned passport size photograph and signature based on the specification mentioned therein
- After you move on to the next page, you will have to fill in your personal details including your educational qualifications
- The next step would be filling the exam centre's preference list
- After you are finished with entering the details, the preview of your form will be shown, so that if you find any errors, you may edit and correct them. Once the application is submitted, you will not be able to edit it
- In the end, you will have to choose a preferred online payment method to submit the application fee for FSSAI
- You can pay the fees through credit card/debit card / net banking and any other online mode
- No modification is permissible after the final submission of application
- Guidelines for Uploading the Photograph
- Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture on a light background. It should not be older than three weeks
- Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face
- The size of the scanned image should be up to 100 KB in jpg/ jpeg format only
- Guidelines for Uploading the Signature
- The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black ink pen
- The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person
- Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page
- Size of file should be up to 100 KB in Jpg/jpeg format only
Application Fee
After submitting the online application form, you can pay the application fee online via Bill desk (if applicable) through net banking/debit cards/credit cards/wallets. It should be noted that fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. Also, without an application fee the application will not be considered complete. In case a candidate is applying for more than one post would be required to register separately for each post. Admit Card
FSSAI will release the tentative date on which you can download your FSSAI Admit Card. It is mentioned in the official notification that that the date will be released after the last date of application process i.e. November 12,2021. The FSSAI admit card will have all the details like venue, date and time of the exam along with other important instructions. You can download the admit card from the FSSAI official website. All information about the admit card will be updated here. Candidates reporting late will not be permitted to take the examination. - Valid FSSAI Call Letter
- Photo-identity proof (as specified) in original bearing the same name as it appears on the call letter/ application form
- Photocopy of photo-identity proof.
Pre Exam Training
No information regarding the facility of Pre-exam training to the reserved categories of candidates is provided in the official notification. In case anything like this is conveyed in future it will be updated here.
Number of Attempts
There is no restriction on the number of attempts indicated in the FSSAI official notification. You are eligible to apply as long as you fall under the age limit prescribed by FSSAI. The age limit for the FSSAI exam (Technical officer and Central Food Safety Officer) is upto 30 years.
