      EMRS Teaching Staff Selection Exam Pattern

      EMRS Exam Pattern 2026

      The EMRS teaching staff selection exam will be a computer based online test. The exam patterns for the post of Principal, Vice Principal is the same and for TGT and PGT are the same. The only difference lies in the number of questions per section and the overall time and marks. The subjects involved in the EMRS Principal and Vice Principal exam pattern are General Hindi, General English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Computer Literacy, Quantitative Aptitude, Academic, and Administration & Finance. While for TGT and PGT the sections are - General English, General Hindi, Numerical Ability, Computer Literacy, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Subject Knowledge, and Teaching Aptitude / Pedagogy. The detailed EMRS exam pattern is given below.

      Note: EMRS exam papers will be available in both Hindi and English. 1 mark will be awarded to every correct answer and 0.25 will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

      EMRS Marking Scheme and Other Information

      EMRS-Exam-Pattern

      For every correct answer, 1 will be awarded and for every incorrect answer, 0.25 will be deducted. Unanswered questions will not be given any marks. The NTA will display your recorded response along with the question paper on the NTA website prior to the declaration of the EMRS exam result. Also, a provisional answer key will also be available in the NTA website and if you desire to challenge the answer keys you need to pay a non-refundable online payment of Rs. 200/- per question. The NTA decision on the challenges will be final.

      The state, post and category wise list of shortlisted candidates based on the online EMRS exam will be displayed on the NTA website and the same merit list will be submitted to the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) which in turn will share the same with the concerned States/UTs EMRS Society.

      If you are shortlisted for the post of Principal, Vice Principal and EMRS PGT, you will be called for a Personality Test / Interview at the State-level in 1:2 ratio. The final selection list will be prepared by combining the score secured by you in an online + interview and will be shared on the website of NTA. However, EMRS TGT final selection list will be prepared on the basis of the CBT-ETSSE exam and verification of documents.
