- Total test timing 150 minutes, 30 minutes for PART A- Objective, 60 minutes for Part B objective, and 60 minutes for Part C (descriptive)
- Minimum qualifying marks in the online test –60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST
- Minimum qualifying marks for the overall selection process(online test, GD, and Interview)–60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST

GIC Assistant Manager Important Points to remember
- There is a negative marking for wrong answers marked by the candidates in objective tests. For every wrong answer marked, 0.25 marks of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted.
- Read the instructions carefully. Attempt all the questions and don’t leave any of your answers incomplete.
- Divide your time wisely between all of the questions that need to be answered
- Understand the Descriptive exam pattern, including how much time and marks it takes, as well as the sections it covers, such as essay, precis, comprehension, and others
- Examine previous year’s GIC descriptive exam reviews to get a sense of the types of questions that were asked
- If you have the option to choose between the topics, always mention the name of the topic you will be writing about
- Cooking stories is a bad idea. Your response should be direct and relevant to the topic
- Make sure your spelling and grammar are correct. If you don’t have a good writing style, try to fill your answer with relevant facts and information
- The content should flow smoothly, which means it should be well-structured
- Make an effort to answer all of the questions. Don’t try to cram too much information into one question at the expense of others.
