Question

In each of the questions below are given three statements followed by three conclusions numbered I, II and III. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of given conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts.

Statements: Some doors are windows. All

houses are windows. No mirror is a door. Conclusions: I. Some doors are mirror II. No mirror is a window. III. Some windows are houses.
A Only I follows. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Only II follows. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Only I and II follows. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D None follows. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

No mirror is a door (E) ⇒ conversion ⇒ No door is a mirror (E) ⇒ I.I. ⇒ Some doors are not mirror (O). Hence, conclusion I will not follow. No mirror is a door(E) + Some doors are windows(I) ⇒ Some windows are not mirror(O*). Hence, conclusion I will not follow. All houses are windows(A) ⇒ conversion ⇒ Some windows are houses(I). Hence, conclusion III will follow.
