    Read the given information carefully and answer the questions given beside: Eight persons from P to W wear jeans of different waist size (in cm) viz. 28, 30, 32, 34, 36 and 38. Out of 8 persons, two groups of two people each have the same waist size. P is 14m to the east of the one whose waist size is 34cm. R’s waist size is similar to that of T, who is 6m to the north of P. T is in the north-east of S, who is towards the west of P. The one whose waist size is 30cm is 6m to the north of S. U, whose waist is 36cm, is towards 8m east of T. S’s waist size is 34cm. R is 9m to the west of Q, whose waist size is the lowest. The distance between Q and T is 3m less than that of between T and U. R is towards the north-west of P. V and P share same waist size. V, whose waist size is 32cm, is 3m to the north of R but not of S.

    P is 14m to the east of the one whose waist size is 34cm. R’s waist size is similar to that of T, who is 6m to the north of P. T is in the north-east of S, who is towards the west of P. The one whose waist size is 30cm is 6m to the north of S. S’s waist size is 34cm. With the given hints we can draw the following arrangement. We will make p mental note of the hint that R and T have same waist size. References: U, whose waist is 36cm, is towards 8m east of T. R is 9m to the west of Q, whose waist size is the lowest. The distance between Q and T is 3m less than that of between T and U. R is towards the north-west of P. As per second hint, Q’s waist size must be 28cm. As per third hint, distance between Q and T should be 5m because T and U are 8m apart. With regard to fourth hint, there are two possibilities: Case-1: When Q is 5m west of T Thus R and T will have 30cm as their waist size. V and P share same waist size. V, whose waist size is 32cm, is 3m to the north of R but not of S. Thus as per second hint, we can say that Case-1 eliminates because R and S are in straight vertical line in this case, thus V has to be in the north of S. As per first and second hints, V and P has waist size of 32cm. Thus the only left waist size i.e. 38cm is shared by R and T and the only left person i.t. W has waist size of 30cm.
