    Solution

    A is the starting point and he walks 40 m towards south to B. AB = 40 m. Then he turns right and walks 15 m from B to C. BC = 15 m. Again he turns left and walks 40 m from C to D. CD = 40 m. Again he turns left and walks 20 m from D to E. DE = 20 m. A is the starting point and E is the finishing point. So, he is in South east direction.
