Question
A total of Rs. ‘K’ was to be distributed among A, B,
and C in ratio of 3:4:5 respectively but due to some reason the money was falsely distributed in ratio of 4:3:5 respectively such that B received Rs. 2400 less. Find the value of 2K.Solution
Let the total amount [K] be Rs. 12x
So, amount which B was supposed to receive = 12x × (4/12) = Rs. 4x
Amount which was actually received by B = 12x × (3/12) = Rs. 3x
ATQ,
4x - 3x = 2400
⇒ x = 2400
Also,
K = 12x = 12 × 2400 = Rs. 28800
Therefore, required value,
2K = 2 × 28800 = ₹57600
