    Solution

    Let the speed of train be 'v' m/s.
    Length of train = '5v' metres

    So, (5v + 300) ÷ 20 = 'v'

    Or, 5v + 300 = 20v
    Or, 15v = 300
    So, 'v' = 20

    Therefore, length of the train = 5 × 20 = 100 metres
