speed of 45 km/h. Another train N, whose length is half the length of train M and travelling with a speed of 65 km/h (in opposite direction to that of train M) crosses Ravi in 10 seconds. Find the length of train M (in metres).Solution
ATQ,
Relative speed = 45 + 65 = 110 km/h = 110 × 5/18 = 30.56 m/s
Let the length of train M be ‘x’ meters
So, 0.5x = 30.56 × 10
Or, 0.5x = 305.6
Or, x = 611.2 ≈ 611 metres
