vertical pole in 7 seconds. Speed of train A is 6 m/s less than speed of train B, and length of train B is 20 metres less than length of train A. Find the time taken by train B to cross a 282 metre long tunnel.Solution
Speed of train A = 18 × 5/18 = 5 m/s Speed of train B = 11 m/s Length of train A = 5 × 7 = 35 metres Length of train B = 35 – 20 = 15 metres Desired time = (15 + 282)/11 = 27 seconds
