Speed1 = 3.5 km/h Speed2 = 12 km/h Distance, d1 = 3.5 × 2 = 7 km Distance, d2 = 12 × 2 = 24 km As, both are running perpendicularly Hence, the required distance = √(d12 + d22) = √(72 + 242 ) = √(49 + 576) = √625 = 25 km
