the ratio 3:2, respectively. If 60 litres of this mixture is replaced with 90 litres of alcohol, then what will be the ratio of quantity of water to that of alcohol in the resultant mixture?Solution
Initial quantity of water in the mixture = 250 × (3/5) = 150 litres After removing 60 litres of the mixture, quantity of water = (250 – 60) × (3/5) = 190 × (3/5) = 114 litres Therefore required ratio = 114:90 = 19:15
