    Time taken by Nikhil to complete the whole work alone = 18/0.40 = 45 days Let the total work = 45 units Efficiency of (Akhil + Nikhil) = 45/9 = 5 units/day Efficiency of Nikhil = 45/45 = 1 units/day Efficiency of Akhil = 5 - 1 = 4 units/day Therefore efficiency of Sachin = 1.25 x 4 = 5 units/day Time taken by Sachin to complete the whole work alone = 45/5 = 9 days
