By travelling at 10km/h higher than the original speed, train is able to make up 18 minutes while travelling 60 km. This condition is only satisfied at an initial speed of 40(and a new speed of 50 km/h). Alternate method: We go by option: 60/40 - 60/(40+10) = 3/2 - 6/5 = 3/10 3/10 x 60 = 18 minutes
