    Compound interest earned by the man in 3 years = 12000 × {(1 + 10/100)3 – 1)} = 12000 × 0.331 = Rs. 3972 Simple interest earned by the man in 3 years = 10500 × 0.13 × 3 = Rs. 4095 Required difference = 4095 – 3972 = Rs. 123
