    ratio 2:3:5. If the difference between the largest number ‘C’ and the smallest number ‘A’ is 393, what is the total sum of ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’?

    Solution

    Let ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ be ‘2x’, ‘3x’ and ‘5x’, respectively. ATQ; 5x – 2x = 393 Or, 3x = 393 So, x = 131 Required sum = 2x + 3x + 5x = 10x = 10 × 131 = 1310
