    Actual ratio of amount the amount received by ‘X’, ‘Y’ and ‘Z’, respectively = (1/3):(1/4):(1/6) Multiplying throughout by 12 (LCM of 3, 4 and 6) = (12/3):(12/4):(12/6) = 4:3:2 Original share of ‘Z’ = (8100/9) × 2 = Rs. 1,800 Share of ‘Z’ when the given amount is divided in wrong ratio = (8100/15) × 6 = Rs. 3,240 Therefore, excess amount received by ‘Z’ = 3240 – 1800 = Rs. 1,440
