he sold it to Vikas at 20% less of his cost price. Vikas spends extra Rs. 750 for its repair. And offered Sopha to Mohit for Rs.X. Mohit requested to get a discount of 13% on that price. But Vikas gave him two successive discounts of 5% and 8% instead of 13%.By this Vikas got Rs. 460 more from Mohit. What is the profit % of Vikas?Solution
Let the SP of sopha be Rs. x which is given to Mohit. x * (95/100 * 92/100 – 87/100) = 460 x * 0.004 = 460 x = 115000 Now Mohit purchased for 115000* 95/100 * 92/100 = 100510 Vikas purchased sopha = 81000 * 80/100 + 750 = 64800 + 750 = 65550 Profit% = (100510 – 65550) x 100/65550 = 53.33%
