ATQ, Let the cost price of the article = Rs. '100a' According to the question, (100a X 1.5 - 50) - 120 = (100a + 80) X 0.85 Or, 150a - 170 = 85a + 68 Or, 65a = 238 Or, 'a' = 3.66 Therefore, the cost price of the article = 3.66 Γ 100 = Rs.366
