Let, amount of milk and water in mixture be 3x litres and 2x litres respectively. According to question, ⇒ (3x + 60): (2x + 60) = 10:7 ⇒ 21x + 420 = 20x + 600 ⇒ 21x – 20x = 600 – 420 ⇒ x = 180 So, initial quantity of mixture = 180 × (2 + 3) = 900 litres
