    Let the ratio of pen, pencil, and rubber in the box be 3x: 2x: x (since the ratio is given as 3:2:1). The total cost of the pens, pencils, and rubbers is Rs. 1065. Cost of pens= 3x × 3 = 9x Cost of pencils= 2x × 2 = 4x Cost of rubbers= x × 2 = 2x The total cost is the sum of these-   9x + 4x + 2x = 1065 15x = 1065 Solve for a x = 1065/15 = 71 The number of pens is = 3x = 3 × 71 = 213
