      Question

The radius and the height of a right circular cone are

in the ratio 3 : 4. If its volume is 301.44 m³, find the slant height (use π = 3.14).
A 5 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 20 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 10 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 15 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Let the radius of the cone be 3x cm and the height 4x cm, then.   Volume of cone = 1/3 πr²h ATQ- 1/3 π (3x)2 (4x) = 301.44 1/3×3.14×36x³ =301.44 37.68 x³ =301.44 x³ = 8 x = 2 Thus, the radius of the cone is 6 cm, and the height 8 cm. Now, slant height of cone = (6)² + (8)² = 10 cm.
