    Using Allegation method 5 feet is common so ignore 5. 10 inch 9 inch 9(3/4) 3/4 1/4 Ratio of army of European to that of India = 3/4 : 1/4 = 3 : 1 ⇒ 3 + 1 = 4 unit ⇒ 4 unit = 12000 ⇒ 1 unit = 3000 ∴ Number of Indians in the army is 3000.
