ATQ,
Let the numbers be ‘x’ and ‘y’ respectively.
According to the question,
⇒ 0.72x = 0.48y
⇒ x/y = 0.48 / 0.72 = 2/3
So the numbers are in the ratio 2 : 3
Sum of the numbers = 2 + 3 = 5 units = 420
⇒ 1 unit = 420 ÷ 5 = 84
⇒ Difference = (3 – 2) units = 1 unit = 84
