Question
The score of Aman is 20% more than Ramesh. Karan's score is
110 more than the difference between Aman and Ramesh. If Karan scored 210 marks, find the marks of Aman.Solution
ATQ,
Let the marks obtained by Ramesh be ‘x’.
So, marks obtained by Aman = 1.20x
According to question,
(1.20x – x) + 110 = 210
0.20x = 210 – 110
0.20x = 100
x = 100 / 0.20
x = 500
Therefore, marks obtained by Aman = 1.20 × 500 = 600 marks
