    Total number of families in the colony = 70 + 48 = 118 Number of blankets received by APL families = 70 x 0.30 x 118 = 2478 Number of blankets received by BPL families = 48 x 0.75 x 118 = 4248 Required difference = 4248 - 2478 = 1770
