Profit ∝ capital × time. A: 50,000 × 12 = 600,000 B: 40,000 × 9 = 360,000 C: 60,000 × 8 = 480,000 Ratio A : B : C = 600 : 360 : 480 Divide by 120 ⇒ 5 : 3 : 4 Total parts = 5 + 3 + 4 = 12 C’s share = (4/12) × 74,400 = (1/3) × 74,400 = 24,800
