If at the end of 2 years, the profit earned by Arjun was Rs. 28,000 more than that by Karan, then find the total profit earned.

Let investments be Rs. ‘7x’ and Rs. ‘3x’. Ratio of profit shares: = {(7x × 8) + (7x × 3/4 × 16)} : {(3x × 8) + (3x × 2 × 16)} = (56x + 84x) : (24x + 96x) = 140x : 120x = 7 : 6 Let total profit = 13y ATQ: 7y - 6y = 28000 Or, y = 28000 Total profit = 13 × 28000 = Rs. 3,64,000
