Question
P, Q and R started a business. P and Q invested 25% and
50% more than R respectively. If total profit at the end of the year is Rs. 32000, find Q’s share in the profit.Solution
ATQ,
Let R’s capital be Rs. ‘x’
Then, P’s capital = Rs. ‘1.25x’, Q’s capital = Rs. ‘1.5x’
Profit sharing ratio of P : Q : R = 1.25x : 1.5x : x = 25 : 30 : 20
Q’s share = (30 / (25 + 30 + 20)) × 32000 = (30 / 75) × 32000 = Rs. 12800

280 – 70 × 14 ÷ 5 = ? – 21 of 3
