    Let Rohit’s investment be Rs. 'y'.

    (15,000 × 12) : (y × 6) = 5 : 3

    → 180000 : 6y = 5 : 3

    → 180000/6y = 5/3

    → 30000/y = 5/3

    → y = (30000 × 3)/5

    → y = Rs. 18,000
