    and Rs. (x – 65) respectively. After one year they invested Rs. 50 more and Rs. 250 more respectively. After 2 years, ratio of the profit shares of A to B is 15:14. Find the value of x.
    A 650 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 600 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 690 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 680 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    E 640 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Ratio of profit share of A to B = [x + 85 + x + 85 + 50]:[x – 65 + x – 65 + 250] = [2x + 220]:[2x + 120] According to question; (2x + 220)/(2x + 120) = 15/14 => 28x + 3080 = 30x + 1800 => 2x = 1280 => x = 640
