    Let the investment of C be Rs. a. Ratio of profits of A, B and C = 35000 × 12 : 40000 × 12 : a × 6 => 70000 : 80000 : a According to question, ⇒  a/(70000 + 80000 + a) = 8/23 ⇒  23a = 8a + 150000 × 8 ⇒  15a = 150000 × 8 ⇒  a = Rs. 80000
