the total number of heads counted in the zoo is 36 and total number of feet counted is 100, then find the number of deer in the zoo.Solution
Let number of deer in the zoo = ‘x’ And, total number of ducks in the zoo = ‘y’ So,
x + y = 36 ---- (1) And,
4x + 2y = 100 So,
2x + y = 50 ---- (2) On subtracting Equation (1) from Equation (2), we get x = 14 So, number of deer in the zoo = 14
