Question
The smallest positive number 'P' which when divided by 21,
28, and 42 leaves 4 as the remainder in each case. Find the value of ('5P' - 10).Solution
ATQ,
As we know the least number which is divisible by 'a', 'b', and 'c' is the LCM of 'a', 'b', and 'c'.
So, the number which is completely divisible by 21, 28, and 42 = LCM of
21, 28, and 42 = 84
So, 'P' = 84 + 4 = 88
Now,
(5P - 10) = (88 × 5) - 10 = 440 - 10 = 430
