    Let the two numbers be 'P' and 'Q', such that P > Q.

    ATQ,

    P X Q = 5

    And, P - Q = 6

    (P - Q)2 = 62

    Or, P2 + Q2 - 2PQ = 36

    Or, P2 + Q2 - 2 X 5 = 36

    So, P2 + Q2 = 36 + 10 = 46
