    Solution

    Let Aakriti’s age be x yrs. Ponam’s age = x/5 yrs Aakriti’s father’s age = 5/3 x yrs x + x/5 + 5/3 x = 86  43/15  x = 86  x = 30 yrs. Poonam’s present age = 30/5   = 6 yrs Aakriti’s father’s present age = 30 × 5/3   = 50 yrs ∴ Required difference = 50 – 6 = 44 yrs.
