    Proportion of petrol present in mixture ‘A’ = (4/5)And proportion of petrol present in mixture ‘B’ = (5/8)Let the quantity in which mixture ‘A’ and mixture ‘B’ are mixed be ‘4x’ litres and ‘3x’ litres, respectively.So, percentage of petrol present in mixture ‘C’ = [{(4/5) × 4x + (5/8) × 3x} ÷ (4x + 3x)] × 100= [{(16x/5) + (15x/8)} ÷ 7x] × 100= {(128x + 75x)/(40 × 7x)} × 100= {(203x/40 × 7)} × 100 = 72.5%
