Let the quantity of alcohol in mixture ‘P’ = 10x kg Then, quantity of water in mixture ‘P’ = 7x kg According to the question, 10x + 7x = 255 Or, x = 255/17 = 15 Total quantity of alcohol in mixture ‘Q’ = 10x + 25 = 150 + 25 = 175 litres Quantity of water in mixture ‘Q’ = 175 × (3/5) = 105 litres
