empty container in the ratio 5:3, respectively. If 32 litres of mixture is replaced with 32 litres of water then what will the ratio of milk to water in the resultant mixture? MTSolution
Initially, amount of milk = (5/8) × 120 = 75 litres Amount of water = (3/8) × 120 = 45 litres 32 litres of mixture is replaced. Amount of milk replaced = 32 x (5/8) = 20 Amount of water replaced = 32 x (3/8) = 12 So, required ratio = (75 – 20):(45 – 12 + 32) = 55:65 = 11:13
